The economy of Bulacan grew by 5.6 percent in 2023 from its 2022 level, a slowdown from the 8.6 percent growth in the previous year. This growth represents an increase in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from PhP 598.05 billion in 2022 to PhP 631.64 billion in 2023. The GDP level in 2023 exceeded the pre-pandemic level of PhP 608.96 billion. (Figure 1)

In Central Luzon, Bulacan has the largest economy, contributing 27.2 percent to the Gross Regional Domestic Product, estimated at PhP 631.64 billion in 2023 (Figure 2).
