03 June 2024 – AURORA. Municipal Census - Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Coordinating Board of Dingalan was convened for the second time last May 17, 2024 at the Maedup Hall, Dingalan, Aurora to discuss and provide updates on the upcoming Integration of 2024 Mid-decade Census of Population (POPCEN) – CBMS Operations. This was presided by Hon. Shierwin H. Taay, Municipal Mayor represented by Municipal Administrator, Shiela H. Taay, and Philippine Statistics Authority – Aurora, Officer-in-Charge, Ferdinand E. Santiago represented by Senior Statistical Specialist, Elizabeth Q. Lopez

The meeting aimed to discuss the operation's process, but it also served as an opportunity to present the primary objectives of integrating the CBMS with the 2024 POPCEN, which are to update the country's population count and provide population data to government executives, policymakers, and planners for use in making social and economic planning decisions. Streamline the identification of recipients of social protection programs; conduct a detailed poverty study, and the support that the MCCB mentioned in the first meeting, further explaining and finalizing the assistance needed in the operation.

Moreover, updated matrices of assistance to be provided by the MCCB were also presented. The initial list of support was presented to the board for clarification and reinforcement of the MCCB's objectives. They were once again acknowledged for their commitments to achieve and promote activities that will assist local governments in obtaining quality, reliable, and timely statistical data.

This demonstrates the MCCB's assurance in providing complete support to guarantee the success of this critical data gathering and integration program in the local level.
