07 October 2024 – Aurora Province: The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aurora, committed to delivering quality and timely data, conducted a five-day provincial training for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS. This was divided into two parts: a two-day training for Map Data Processors and a three-day training for Data Processors.
As data collection approaches its conclusion, the next phase involves Data Processing, which entails analyzing raw data to eliminate errors and inconsistencies. This process verifies and cleans the datasets gathered from respondents. With mapped building points and household data, the Processors were trained to ensure consistency and clarity in the information.
The field office has hired a total of 15 processors, comprising 5 Map Data Processors and 10 Data Processors. These personnel were meticulously selected based on their background in the concepts and context of POPCEN-CBMS, as well as their various experience in data processing. This careful consideration ensures that the data across all eight municipalities in the province will be carefully scrutinized.
The training was implemented rigorously, featuring hands-on exercises to provide participants with an overview and insight into editing processes to ensure data consistency.
This initiative aims to produce accurate and reliable data for the province, empowering the field office to support Local Government Units (LGUs) in data-driven planning and program implementation.
