Zambales, Philippines – The City of Olongapo emerged as the top-performing locality in Zambales for the month of June 2025, registering a total of 616 individuals under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). Of this total, 64 were children aged 0–4 years, while 552 registrants were aged 5 years and above. This impressive turnout accounted for 23.85% of the province’s total registrations for the month.
The city’s performance was bolstered by its two fixed registration centers: the PSA-based National ID Fixed Registration/Updating Center and the Olongapo City LGU Fixed Registration Site, both of which provided steady and reliable access for residents.
Trailing behind Olongapo, the Municipality of Subic recorded 461 registrations, driven primarily by the mall-based registration site at Walter Mart Mall, which offered convenient access and drew in numerous walk-in registrants.
In third place, Castillejos registered 436 individuals through mobile registration campaigns, conducted in partnership with the local government unit and other supporting agencies. These efforts brought PhilSys services closer to the people, particularly in far-flung barangays.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Zambales acknowledged the vital contributions of local government units and partner agencies, whose collaborative efforts have significantly boosted registration numbers. The combination of fixed-site accessibility and mobile outreach continues to play a crucial role in ensuring inclusive and widespread participation in the National ID system.
PSA Zambales encourages all unregistered residents to participate in the ongoing registration, and to watch for both mobile registration schedules and available fixed sites in their localities.
