PRODUCTION

The total volume of production of livestock and poultry in the province of Bataan for the year 2023 reached 46,117.57 metric tons which was 11.66 percent higher than the recorded total volume of production of 41,301.14 metric tons in 2022. Livestock volume of production in 2023 increased by 48.84 percent compared to the volume of production in 2022. On the other hand, poultry volume of production increased by 6.03 percent.

The production of hog had the highest increase recorded at 65.33 percent, from 4,041.88 metric tons in 2022 to 6,682.36 metric tons in 2023. Carabao volume of production posted a decrease of 10.49 percent or from 393.16 metric tons in 2022 to 351.92 metric tons in 2023.

Poultry production for 2023 increased compared to the production in 2022.  Chicken, chicken egg, and duck increased with 0.27 percent, 155.7 percent and 4.59 respectively. On the other hand, duck egg decreased with 25.60 percent. (Figure 2)

The production of hog possesses a downward trend from 2019 to 2021 but slightly recovered in 2022. Other animal types have a smooth movement. (Figure 3)

Downward trend was observed in the production of chicken from 2019 to 2022, and slightly recovered in 2023 Other animal types have a smooth movement, slightly downward trend for native/improved. (Figure 4)
