Aurora’s Inflation Accelerate to 1.9 Percent
Aurora’s annual inflation increased to 1.9 percent in June 2025 which was 0.4 percent point higher from 1.5 percent in May 2025 and 0.1 percentage points lower from 2.0 percent in June 2024. (Refer to Figure 1)

Across regions, National Capital Region (NCR) has the highest inflation rate recorded at 2.6 percent in June 2025, followed by Ilocos Region at 2.2 percent and Cordillera Administrative Region(CAR) at 2.0 percent. Meanwhile, BARMM and SOCCSKSARGEN has the lowest inflation rate at -0.9 percent.
The headline inflation in the country increased at 1.4 percent in June 2025.

In Aurora, the increase in inflation could be mainly attributed to the higher increment posted by the index of Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels at -0.4 percent from -6.9 percent in May 2025. This was followed by the index of Transport at -2.3 percent.
Listed below are the indices that recorded higher monthly increments:
• Health (13.7% from 13.3%);
• Clothing and Footwear (0.0% from -0.2%);
• Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (2.7% from 2.6%); and
• Restaurants and Accommodation Services (3.2 from 3.1%).
On the other hand, lower monthly increment was recorded in the following index:
• Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (1.9% from 3.4%); and
• Recreation, Sport and Culture (1.9% from 2.3%).
Lastly, the following indices showed same rate from that of the previous month:
• Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance (1.0%);
• Information and Communication (0.1%);
• Education Services (22.9%);
• Financial Services (0.0%); and
• Personal Care, and Miscellaneous Goods and Services (2.8%).

The annual growth rate in the provincial food index posted a decrease in rate at 1.6 percentage points from 3.4 percent in May 2025 to 1.8 percent in June 2025. This trend was attributed by the lower monthly increments of the index of Vegetables, Tubers, Plantains, Cooking Bananas, and Pulses at -2.3 percent in June 2025 from 13.8 percent in May 2025. Listed below are the following indices that recorded lower annual increments from May 2025 to June 2025:
• Sugar, Confectionery and Desserts (1.4% from 1.5%);
• Rice (-18.9% from 16.2%); and
• Corn (2.9% from 4.9%).
Meanwhile, higher annual increment was noted only in the following indices:
• Meat and other parts of slaughtered land animals (9.3% from 9.2%);
• Fish and other seafood (4.5% from 3.7%);
• Oils and Fats (10.6% from 9.4%);
• Fruits and Nuts (45.1% from 38.2%); and
• Ready-made Food and Other Food Products N.E.C (6.3% from 3.8%).
Lastly, the following index showed same rate from that of the previous month:
• Flour, Bread and Other Bakery Products, Pasta Products, and Other Cereals
(2.8%); and
• Milk, Other Dairy Products, and Eggs (8.1%).

For June 2025, Angeles City recorded the highest inflation rate in the region at 2.3 percent followed by Bulacan at 2.2 percent. Aurora ranked 3rd at 1.9 percent. This was followed by Olongapo City and Pampanga at 1.8 percent and 1.7 percent respectively.
Tarlac and Zambales recorded an inflation rate of 1.4 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively. Bataan recorded 0.0 percent inflation while Nueva Ecija recorded the lowest inflation rate in the region at -0.2 percent. (Refer to Figure 3)
