Zambales, June 2025 — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Zambales National ID Team has reached an exceptional milestone, registering 1,699 individuals in May 2025 — an impressive 217.82% of its target workload of 780 registrants.
This outstanding turnout underscores strong community engagement throughout Zambales. Among those registered, 1,498 individuals aged five years and above secured their national IDs, alongside 201 children aged 0-4 years, highlighting the broad reach of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) program and its growing importance in accessing essential government services and benefits.
Olongapo City led the province’s registration efforts, contributing the highest number of registrants with 713 individuals (41.97%). This success was supported by the city’s two major registration sites: Olongapo City Hall and the PhilSys Fixed Registration Center located at Ohio St., Upper Kalaklan. Following Olongapo City, the Municipality of Subic recorded 504 registrants, while San Marcelino contributed 184 registrations, reflecting a united provincial effort towards national identification.
Registration activities were most effective at sites strategically placed within Local Government Units (LGUs), demonstrating the value of accessible, community-based services. Additionally, mall-based registrations attracted 453 individuals (26.66%), while 279 participants (16.42%) registered through Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Family Development Sessions.
This multi-pronged approach has propelled Zambales ahead in the national ID enrollment campaign, setting a strong example for future registration drives across the province and the City of Olongapo.
