Iba, Zambales – June 19, 2025 — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Zambales, in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Iba, successfully conducted a National ID Registration and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign in Barangay Bangantalinga.
The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) and deliver on-site registration services to residents. Field Validator Shiela Formanes led the IEC session, highlighting the National ID’s role as a valid proof of identity and age. She also explained the advantages of the three forms of the National ID — physical card, printed paper, and digital version — in facilitating access to both government and private sector services.
A total of 90 individuals were registered during the event. Among them were 37 social pensioners and 9 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), underscoring the campaign’s focus on reaching marginalized and priority sectors.
Both the PSA and LGU Iba reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that the National ID system remains accessible and inclusive to all citizens, especially those in underserved communities.
