11 February 2025 –The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Bataan, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Samal holds a mobile registration at Brgy. East Calaguiman Elementary School, Samal, Bataan in support of the Dalae Barangay Program initiated by the Local Government Unit of Samal, Bataan.

LCRO Samal AA Kim Isidro was assisted by PSA BRC Randeli Anne Barcarse during the activity in answering queries on civil registration matters. BRAP Coordinator Barcarse caters Batch Request Entry System (BREQS) a project by the PSA that allows the public to request civil registry documents as service the Local Civil Registry office offers during the activity. This initiative aims to bring the government services closer to their constituents.

As of February 05, 2025, a total of 9,247 birth records were received by PSA-Bataan for verification. Out of this number, a total of 9,210 birth records had been verified, wherein 7,148 of which have no birth record.

Out of those that have been verified, a total of 574 birth records were processed through delayed registration before the concerned Local Civil Registry Offices while 385 COLBs were printed in SECPA and issued to the beneficiaries, free of charge. Free Certificates of Live Births printed in Security Papers were distributed to the City/Local Civil Registry Offices to strengthen the implementation of the Birth Registration Assistance Project.

The Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) is continuously implemented around the country, and more and more Filipinos have benefited from this project. In addition, this project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identity.
