04 February 2025 – Bagac, Bataan. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Bataan officially launched the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) with a motorcade parade in partnership with Municipality of Pilar and Bagac. This activity primarily aimed at raising public awareness of the importance of civil registration in ensuring legal identity for all.
PSA Bataan Chief Statistical Specialist Francisco P. Corpuz led this activity, alongside the Provincial Statistical Office. The motorcade traveled from the PSA Bataan Office route to Parang View Deck, Bagac. A health and fitness exercise through Zumba at the overlooking scenery of Parang View Deck in Bagac, Bataan, followed after the parade.
Also on the same day, as part of 35th CRM kick-off activities, tree planting and clean up drive were done to enhance the sense of community, encourage teamwork and better public health.
This year's theme, "Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System," underscores the need for a robust and adaptable civil registration system to ensure efficient and accessible services for all Filipinos.
The annual celebration is conducted pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 682 s. 1991 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as Civil Registration Month” which aims to remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons as well as enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents such as birth, death and marriage certificates among others.
