The Philippine Statistics Authority - Zambales conducted third level training on 2023 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI) and 2023 Input-Output Philippine Business and Industry (IOSPBI). The training was conducted from April 29 to May 3, 2024 at FRC Building, Ohio St., Kalaklan, Olongapo City. It was attended by nine (9) statistical researchers from Zambales and Olongapo City. Assistant Statistician Miriam L. Viloria and Administrative Aide VI Ronie Suilan served as trainor.
The 2023 CPBI aims to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance and trends of economic activities of the establishments in the economy for the year 2023. Also, it will serve as benchmark information for the over-all revision and rebasing to 2023 of the National Accounts. While the 2023 IOSPBI or I-O Table is used to analyze quantitatively the structure and interdependencies of producing and consuming sectors in the economy. Among the major uses of an I-O Table are to provide detailed information on the flow of goods and services, forecasting, sensitivity testing, impact analysis and price-cost analysis.
