Volume of Production of Poultry Products in metric tons in Aurora Decreases by 0.66 percent

The total volume of poultry products in Aurora recorded the least production with 0.10 percent share of the total Central Luzon volume of production or 229.19 metric tons and followed by Zambales at 9,095.32 metric tons (3.94% share). Meanwhile, the highest contributor in the region was Bulacan at 74,387.82 metric tons (32.26% share). (Figure 1 and 2)

The total volume of poultry products in Aurora decreased to 229.19 metric tons in Fourth Quarter 2024 from 230.71 metric tons in Fourth Quarter 2023 or by 0.66 percent decline. Moreover, Tarlac registered the highest growth rate at 8.84 percent while Zambales recorded the biggest decrease at 10.39 percent change. As a result, the total poultry production in Central Luzon registered a 0.40 percent drop. (Table 1)

The total poultry production in Aurora was comprised of all poultry products such as chicken, chicken egg, duck and duck eggs. Among these poultry products, chicken egg contributed 63.30 percent of the total volume of poultry production on the Fourth Quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, duck egg had the least share in the volume of production with 7.34 percent share. (Figure 3)

Among the total poultry production, duck recorded the highest increase in production to 28.82 metric tons during the Fourth Quarter of 2024 from 27.40 metric tons in the same quarter of the previous year or by 5.17 percent growth. On the other hand, chicken registered the highest decline in production to 145.08 metric tons in the Fourth Quarter in 2024 from 151.16 metric tons in the Fourth Quarter of 2023.
