9 August 2024 – Aurora Province. The 2024 Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade in Aurora commenced in simple and informative activity through a virtual lecture on the use of the CRS Appointment System and the generation of Digital National ID for the MCRO personnel, Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) members and other partner agencies. The lecturers comprised of Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) Elizabeth Q. Lopez, Information Officer Shiney Marie S. Caruluan and ISA I Jay Wilson A. Duaso demonstrated the actual procedures in using the CRS Appointment System application and the Digital National ID.
An open forum followed after all the discussions were through. Some participants asked about the process of updating the Physical ID that contain wrong information and those whose pictures are already faded or erased. These were responded by the lecturers accordingly.
In a related story, PSA Aurora represented by SrSS Elizabeth Q. Lopez and Statistical Specialist II Ferdinand P. Peralta joined the Municipal Civil Registry Office of Baler on the same in the conduct of simultaneous Mobile Registration and Information Dissemination on Civil Registration to the parents of day care pupils in Barangay 1 Poblacion as part of the CRVS Decade activities and Brigada Bulilit 2024.
Ms. Lopez discussed the importance and uses of the registration of birth to an individual. She also informed the parents about the inclusion of children aged 1-4 years in the PhilID Step 2 registration. She further requested the assistance of the parents and the barangay officials to share the good news to their relatives and constituents.
The barangay officials headed by Punong Barangay Alejandro Zafra and the day care teacher Ms. Reza Pimentel were thankful for being part of the CRVS Decade activities of PSA Aurora and MCRO Baler in their barangay.
