Aurora Registered the Lowest Total Annual Family Expenditure in Central Luzon in 2023
In Central Luzon, Aurora recorded the lowest total annual family expenditure at Php 13,433.51 million in 2023. Conversely, despite having the lowest expenditure, Aurora ranked fifth in the total family income, amounting to Php 83,190.70 million. In contrast, Bataan reported the highest total annual family income, reaching Php 342,693.71 million. For the total annual family expenditure, Bulacan led with Php 276,431 million, while Aurora ranked last with Php 13,433.51 million.

Accordingly, wages/salaries had the highest percentage share in the Total Annual Family Income and Expenditure at 47.4 percent in the years 2018, 2021 and 2023 respectively. During the reference period, wages/salaries estimated income had a 2.4 percent increase from the data in 2021 with 45 percent. Then, 1.9 percent rise from the total yearly wage/salaries in the province in 2018 with 43.1. ((Figure 3)
Meanwhile, among the sources of income in Aurora, the entrepreneurial activities registered the second-highest in the total annual family income during the reference period with estimated income at 24.91—a 0.4 percent increase from 24.5 percent in 2021. The total yearly entrepreneurial activities income for 2018 was recorded as 30.9 percent—a -6.4 percent change from 2021. (Figure 3)
Moreover, the Imputed Rent income registered the lowest total annual income estimated at 6.2 percent in 2023—a -0.8 decrease from 7.0 percent in 2021. In 2018, the estimated income was at 5.8 percent—a 1.2 percent change from 2021. (Figure 3)
Furthermore, the Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages registered the first-highest on the total yearly expenditure of Aurora with estimated expenditure at 43.2 percent in 2023—a 1.2 percent decrease from 44.3 percent in 2021. While in 2018, the recorded estimated expenditure was at 45.4 percent—a -1.1 percent change from 2021. (Figure 4)
The Food Consumed at Home expenditure registered the second-highest in total annual expenditure of Aurora with estimated spending at 39.8 percent in 2023—a 3.1 percent decrease from 42.9 percent in 2021. While in 2018, the recorded estimated expenditure was at 39.8 percent—a 3.1 percent change from 2021. (Figure 4)
Meanwhile, the lowest recorded estimated expenditure was on Hotels (Accommodation Services) at 0.1 percent in 2023—a 0.1 percent increase from 0.0 percent in 2021. While in 2018, the recorded estimated expenditure was at 0.1 percent—a -0.1 percent change from 2021. (Figure 4)
