The Philippine Statistics Authority - Zambales conducted training on the Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC) and Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC). The training was held on the 22nd day of May 2024 at Municipal Hall of San Narciso, Zambales. It was attended by three (3) staff from the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) headed by Mr. Albert C. Cababaro. Senior Statistical Specialist, Rizabelle L. Mawili, and COSW PPA-Assistant Statistician, Isagani N. Costillas served as resource speaker during the training.  

The primary goal of the training is to further expand and enhance collaboration and data sharing between LGU and PSA in order to create a comprehensive picture of the nation's socioeconomic progress, which will enable better decision-making and more effective government service delivery. Thus, to improve the LGU's proficiency with PSIC and PSGC while also guaranteeing consistency and comparability of the data generated, which will be utilized to create aggregated data that local planners and policy makers may utilize.
