26 June 2024 – In line with its commitment to ensure 100% birth registration for all Filipinos, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Zambales conducted a successful mobile registration activity at Barangay Natividad, San Narciso, Zambales.
The mobile birth registration was conducted by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) San Narciso, headed by MCR-OIC Emmabeth N. Farin, along with its staff, in partnership with PSA Zambales, represented by Birth Registration Coordinator, Sherleen V. Ocampo. The initiative specifically targeting Filipino individuals who had not yet registered their births. This mobile registration served as a convenient way for residents to obtain their birth certificates, a crucial document for accessing essential services and opportunities.
The activity went beyond not only processing birth registrations but also conducted informative lecture on civil registration. Additionally, informative materials and an infographics exhibit were presented, providing residents with a better understanding of their rights and responsibilities regarding civil registration.
The mobile registration activity proved to be a success, catering to the needs of 43 residents from Barangay Natividad. This initiative exemplifies the PSA's dedication to fulfilling its mandate under Republic Act No. 10625, which empowers the agency to oversee civil registration functions within the country.
The PSA Zambales remains committed to providing efficient and accessible civil registration services to all residents of the province. Through continued outreach and initiatives like BRAP, the agency strives to promote inclusivity and empower Filipinos to exercise their rights.
