17 March 2025 – CABANATUAN, NUEVA ECIJA. The Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) - Nueva Ecija Provincial Statistical Office (PSO), will conduct the Crops Production Survey (CrPS) for the First Quarter of 2025 in Nueva Ecija on the 18-31 of March 2025.

The Crops Production Survey (CrPS) is one of the major agricultural surveys conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This survey aims to generate estimates on volume of production, area planted/harvested, number of bearing trees/hills/vines, and farmgate prices for crops other than palay and corn at the national sub-national levels. The data generated from CrPS are inputs to the Value of Production in Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries, and accordingly to the preparation of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Moreover, the survey supports the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector particularly the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Agriculture (DA) and its attached agencies such as Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) and Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF), and the general public.

To kick off the surveys, the Nueva Ecija PSO will hold its Third Level Training on the Crops Production Survey on 18 -19 March 2025 at PSA Training Room, 3rd floor, Harrison Building, Barangay Dicarma, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. This training will capacitate the Statistical Researchers on the concepts and definitions, Surveys Operations Procedure, and the use of Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI).

The sample Households are requested for their support and cooperation on the upcoming survey by providing accurate information. They are guaranteed that their information will be kept confidential as stipulated in Section 26 of RA 10625 (Confidentiality of information) and Section 8 of RA 10173, known as the Data Privacy Act. All data collected in this survey will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
