PSA Bataan holds a mobile registration in participation with the Dalaw Barangay of the Local Government Unit of Samal 

at Asuncion Consunji Elementary School, Imelda, Samal, Bataan.

05 February 2025 –The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Bataan, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Samal holds a mobile registration at Asuncion Consunji Elementary School, Brgy. Imelda, Samal, Bataan to strengthen the implementation of the Birth Registration Assistance Project in participation with the Dalaw Barangay initiated by the Local Government Unit of Samal, Bataan.

Municipal Civil Registrar Arnel A. Castor leads the mobile registrations in line with the Samal LGU Dalaw Barangay program assisted by LCRO Administrative Aide Kim San Pedro and PSA BRAP Coordinator Randeli Anne A. Barcarse. This initiative aims to bring the government services closer to their constituents. BRAP Coordinator Barcarse offered BRAP registration and mobile BREQS to the barangay folks.

As of January 23, 2025, a total of 9, 247 birth records were received by PSA-Bataan for verification. Out of this number, a total of 9, 210 birth records had been verified, wherein 7, 148 of which have no birth record.

Out of those that have been verified, a total of 572 birth records were processed through delayed registration before the concerned Local Civil Registry Offices while 385 COLBs were printed in SECPA and issued to the beneficiaries, free of charge. Recently, 20 COLBS printed in SECPA were distributed to the BRAP beneficiaries of Samal, Bataan.

The Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) is continuously implemented around the country, and more and more Filipinos have benefited from this project. In addition, this project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identity.
