Philippine Statistics Authority – Bataan is currently conducting the 2024 Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS) in one thousand six hundred twenty-one (1,621) sample households in the province which the hired Statistical Researchers will visit from 30 September 2024 to 22 October 2024.
The 2024 FLEMMS is a nationwide household-based survey conducted by the PSA to provide a quantitative framework and reliable baseline that will guide the development and evaluation and literacy policies and program. This survey also stands as the role source of essential basic and functional literacy in the Philippines, playing a vital role in achieving for critical policy and decision-making by the government.
For this round, the 2024 FLEMMS is utilizing the Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) System for collection of the household questionnaire and individual questionnaire (Form 3), while a paper questionnaire (Form 2) in assessing the literacy of the household members with age 5 years old and over.
All information obtained from this survey will be kept strictly confidential as stipulated in Section 26 of RA 10625 (Confidentiality of Information) and Section 8 of RA 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Confidentiality) and will not be used for taxation, investigation, or law enforcement purposes.
In line with this, Philippine Statistics Authority – Bataan enjoins the sample households to participate in the 2024 Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS). PSA is expecting the cooperation of the Barangay Officials and the public in the following sample barangays.
