13 September 2024, Aurora – As part of the celebration of the PSA 11th Anniversary with a theme "Strengthening Data Stewardship Towards a Responsive Public Service", Philippine Statistics Authority - Aurora conducted activity that will highlight its social responsibility concern and demonstrate the commitment of the PSA Aurora personnel to maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
PSA Aurora organized a clean-up drive at Sabang Beach, that commenced at 5:30 in the morning and involved 20 personnel. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about proper waste management and disposal. To engage employees in community service and environmental stewardship. To foster teamwork and collaboration among government employees.
Philippine Statistics Authority - Aurora personnel were briefed on safety protocols and the goals of the clean-up effort. This included guidelines on handling waste and the importance of teamwork. Teams were assigned in different areas of the beach to ensure comprehensive coverage and diligently, collecting litter and debris, and disposing of waste responsibly.
After the clean-up, participants gathered to have breakfast and time to reflect on their experiences. The clean-up drive was highly successful, the team collected numerous bags of trash during the clean-up drive. PSA Aurora personnel exhibit a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment, strengthening relationships among colleagues.
The clean-up drive conducted by PSA Aurora on 13th September 2024 was an impactful program that not only improved the local environment but also fostered a spirit of community service and teamwork among participants. The positive outcomes highlight the importance of such initiatives in promoting sustainable practices and community engagement.
