15 October 2024 – Cabanatuan City the monthly Press Conference for the monthly Inflation Report for the province of Nueva Ecija was held on October 15, 2024 at 11:00 in the morning. Inflation rate refers to the annual rate of change or the year-on-year change of the CPI expressed in percentage. The activity is the localized version of the monthly Press Conference by the Philippine Statistics Authority Central Office led by Usec. Dennis S. Mapa, National Statistician and Civil Registrar-General.

Due to the equally important engagement of OIC Girlie De Guzman, the monthly presscon was led by SS II Hilario T. delos Santos. The monthlychange in prices of delivered the monthly report of inflation via Google Meet and was aired via Facebook Livestreaming. 

September 2024 Inflation in Nueva Ecija revealed an estimated at 1.5 percent from the August 2024 with 3.3 percent and 5.9 percent in July Inflation. Meanwhile, purchasing power of peso remains at 0.75 peso which means a 1.00 peso in the year 2018 has now a value of 0.75 peso. 

Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages with -0.1 percent inflation, Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuels with 7.5 percent, and Transport with -6.1 percent are the main sources of deceleration of Inflation in September 2024. These are the commodity groups thatcontribute to the lower inflation rate during the month.

The presscon was attended by our provincial line agencies in the province that includes the Department of Trade and Industry, Office of the Provincial Agriculturistand our press people /media partners from DWNE and DWWG. They served as witnesses of PSA in providing information on the movement of prices of goods and services in ore province during the month of September 2024. Soon after the presentation of Inflation Results, a questionandanswer segment followedto give the participants from the Google Meet an opportunity to raise questions. Also those queries of the public via the FB comment section.
