The Philippine Statistics Authority has successfully handed over the 2023 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data to the Municipality of Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija, last 28 January 2025 at the Municipal Conference Hall. This marks the completion of the data turnover for the participating municipalities/cities in the conduct of CBMS last 2023.
The CBMS involves a census of households conducted by local government units (LGUs) with the participation of the community using accelerated poverty profiling systems in the data. CBMS is an economic and social tool which will be used in the formulation and implementation of poverty alleviation and development programs that are specific, targeted, and responsive to the basic needs of each sector of the community.

On 01 June 2023, the PSA, DILG, and the LGU Pantabangan entered and signed into an agreement regarding the implementation of CBMS in the municipality. Under this agreement, the CBMS data is expected to be integrated into the local governance processes such as, but not limited to, planning, investment programming, budgeting, program identification, and implementation, as well as disaster risk reduction and management measures.
The event was led by the PSA Officials: Ms. Arlene M. Divino, Regional Director of the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office of Central Luzon; Ms. Arlene Z. Torrico, PSA Chief Statistical Specialist of the Statistical Operations and Coordination Division of Central Luzon; Ms. Girlie G. De Guzman, Officer-in-Charge of the PSA Nueva Ecija Provincial Statistics Office; and Mr. Rommel L. Payawal, Provincial CBMS Focal Person.

Key findings from the 2023 CBMS, presented by CSS Arlene Torrico, were discussed with Honorable Municipal Mayor Roberto T. Agdipa, along with LGU officials and representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Municipal Mayor Agdipa formally accepted the CBMS data alongside the designated Data Protection Officer - Ms. Angelina Tuliao; Municipal Statistician - Mr. Cresendo DC. Villa; LGU CBMS Focal Person - Mr. Dennis Viernes Paddayuman, and the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator - Ms. Jocelyn Villaflor Barcelo. They will be responsible for handling and ensuring the security of the data.

A highlight of the ceremony was the acceptance message of Municipal Mayor Agdipa and LGU CBMS Focal Person Paddayuman, who outlined their plans and programs for utilizing the CBMS data. They emphasized its critical role in effective planning, strategizing, and implementing programs and activities in various areas, including health, education, employment, and basic services, among others.
The successful turnover of the 2023 CBMS data reflects the commitment to “Swak na Datos, Para sa Komunidad na Mas Maayos!”
