Tarlac City, Tarlac - The National Identification System in Tarlac successfully conducted refresher training on National ID frontline services on January 16, 2025. The training took place in the Training Room of the Tarlac Provincial Statistical Office. The program began with an opening remark by Herman J. Vital, the Chief Statistical Specialist of the PSO Tarlac. He emphasized the need for intensified efforts to achieve the registration target for enrolling Filipinos in the National Identification System.
The training focused on essential operational procedures, particularly the registration of children under five years old and the creation of digital national IDs. Ma. Veronica D. Dionisio, the National ID Focal Person, reviewed these processes. She also emphasized the policies and guidelines for issuing national IDs in paper form and detailed the requirements and procedures for updating demographic information.
Sofia Darlene B. Laxamana, Information Officer I, emphasized the importance of establishing a Public Assistance and Complaint Desk within the PSO to promptly address clients' concerns and inquiries. She also underscored the role of registration personnel as the agency's frontliners, highlighting the need for them to use standardized spiels when responding to registrants' issues. Additionally, she discussed various methods for authenticating national IDs in different formats, including polycarbonate cards, paper forms, and digital versions.
Meanwhile, Registration Officer I, Martye M. Garcia, provided insights into data privacy and security protocols concerning National ID services, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
A technical session led by Information Systems Analyst Jemuel D. Jimenez focused on important updates and reminders for registration personnel. He emphasized practices to avoid during manual verification and showcased new features in the updated registration client system, as well as in the “Find My TRN” tool. Additionally, he reminded personnel to ensure the real-time issuance of national IDs in paper form, allowing registrants to immediately benefit from their registration.
The program concluded with closing remarks from Bernadette Joy D. Ular, the Supervising Statistical Specialist. She emphasized that the National ID personnel in the province should continue their efforts from the previous year to effectively carry out their work, especially as there are more potential registrants in Tarlac. The training is expected to enhance the registration personnel on how they will perform their assigned duties, noting that finding the right balance between quality and quantity is the key to a successful work operation as they embark for a year ahead. Emphasizing that quantity is better accompanied by quality.
