In line with the commitment to provide efficient and effective implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) project, PSO Nueva Ecija conducted the installation of GLPI, starting on October 9, 2023. The significance of this activity lies in conducting an inventory and health check on all registration kits deployed in the Philippine Statistics Office – Nueva Ecija (PSO-N.E).

CSS Elizabeth M. Rayo, PFP Mark Joseph U. Briguela, and ISA I Ezairo Rafaino A. Buenaventura represented PSO – Nueva Ecija during the October Technical Session with ISMD concerning the installation of the asset management software GLPI. The installation of this software aims to gather serial numbers of devices attached to the PhilSys machine. This also involves monitoring the health status of the devices to determine whether they are defective or functioning properly. Moreover, the purpose of the activity is to track the sites visited and software installed on PhilSys Machines in Nueva Ecija.

On October 9, 2023, PSO Nueva Ecija began installing the asset management software GLPI on PhilSys machines. This software aims to prevent the installation of untrusted software that could potentially result in data breaches and hacking. Additionally, it will aid in streamlining the tracking of assets and conducting health checks on the devices and machines utilized in the Philippines Identification System program. Integrating this software into PhilSys machines will further enhance secure operations and enumeration for PhilSys Nueva Ecija.

PhilSys Nueva Ecija has already installed the software on 98 registration kits from 5,000 registration kits and 12 registration kits from 2,800 new registration kits assigned in Nueva Ecija. As of December 29, 2023, Nueva Ecija has successfully registered 1,803,939 Filipinos and Resident Aliens, and the installation of GLPI on the PhilSys Machines will play a vital role in securing this amount of data. This initiative is poised to significantly enhance the operational efficiency of PhilSys Nueva Ecija, ensuring secure and seamless operations during Step 2 registration and ePhil ID issuance.
