The total inventory of livestock and poultry in the province of Bataan as of 01 July 2024 reached 3,036,104 heads which was 70.76 percent higher than the recorded total inventory of 1,777,001 heads as of 01 July 2023. Livestock inventory as of 01 July 2024 increased by 8.95 percent compared to the inventory as of 01 July 2023. Similarly, poultry inventory also increased by 74.53 percent.

In terms of animal type, all inventories decreased except for swine. Carabao, goat, and cattle decreased with 0.48 percent, 5.24 percent, and 0.13 percent respectively. On the other hand, swine increased with 36.87 percent.

Poultry inventory as of 01 July 2024 increased compared to the inventory as of 01 July 2023. All the inventories of animal type increased except for duck. Broiler chicken, layer chicken and native/improved chicken recorded an increase of 75.23 percent, 307.37 percent, and 7.48 percent respectively. On the other hand, duck inventory decreased by 7.48 percent. (Figure 2).

The inventory of swine showed a rough movement from 01 July 2023 to 01 July 2024, while other animal types had a stagnant trend. (Figure 3)

Upward trend was observed in the inventory of broiler chicken and layer chicken. Other animal types have a stagnant trend. (Figure 4)
