HAU Rep Hails as 28^th PSQ Regional Champion

Holy Angel University’s (HAU) representative emerged as the Regional Champion of 27th the Philippine Statistics Quiz in Central Luzon held on 08 November 2024 at the Orchid Gardens, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Mr. Murphy C. Bautista, a first year BS Civil Engineering student, bested other 18 contestants coming from different universities and colleges in the region.

Meanwhile, Mr. Danielle Josh J. Almario of HAU and Mr. Israfil M. Silao of the Maritime Academy of the Asia and Pacific (MAAP) came in as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Bringing back the champion tilt in Pampanga after two years, Mr. Bautista is set to represent the region in the national championship which will be held on 
05 December 2024 in Metro Manila.

PSQ is now on its 28th series. It is a nationwide annual contest designed to test the knowledge on statistics of freshman students enrolled in colleges and universities in the 17 regions of the country. The quiz primarily aims to identify and nurture talents in the field of statistics and instill deeper appreciation on the significance of statistics for evidence-based decision-making.
