The economy of Aurora experienced a modest rise over a three-year span from 2021 to 2023. This was reflected in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which reached PhP 31.23 billion in 2021, PhP 32.91 billion in 2022, and PhP 34.43 billion in 2023. However, despite the increase in value, it showed a decreasing trend in its growth rate with the highest rate in 2021 at 5.7 percent, followed by a slight decline to 5.4 percent in 2022 and 4.6 percent in 2023. (Figure 1)
Among the 16 industries, the fastest growths were observed in Mining and quarrying with 23.83 percent, followed by Accommodation and food service activities with 14.72 percent, and Other services with 13.81 percent. On the other hand, Public administration and defense; compulsory social activities and Agriculture, forestry, and fishing, experienced negative growth rate, declining by 2.03 percent and 4.11 percent, respectively.
