Press Release: PSA Zambales Conducts 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey in Zambales and Olongapo City

Philippine Statistics Authority Zambales Provincial Office (PSA Zambales) is conducting the 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) in the different municipalities of Zambales and Olongapo City. The data collection started last May 2 and is expected to be completed on June 22, 2022. The survey will cover 509 sample households from the province of Zambales and from the City of Olongapo, and uses computer-aided personal interviewing (CAPI) system.

The Philippine Statistics Authority conducted the Training on Machine Processing for the Pilot Operation of PSA-LGU Data Sharing on 04 to 06 May 2022. The mode of training was a combination of face-to-face and online (hybrid).
The PSA-LGU Data Sharing Project aims to develop a procedure or mechanism in establishing the PSA and LGU sustainable data sharing.

2021 REPORT ON THE ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF CENTRAL LUZON

The economy of Central Luzon rebounded to 7.4 percent in 2021 compared with the -13.9 percent in the previous year. The sub-industries with the highest growth rates were Mining and quarrying (41.4%), Human health and social work activities (21.9%) and Manufacturing (17.1%).

As of 01 May 2020, Central Luzon recorded a total population of 12,422,172 persons. Of this total, the household population contributed 99.7 percent which translates to 12,387,811 individuals.
