Central Luzon's Employment Situation, January 2020 - Preliminary Results

In January 2020, Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) in Central Luzon registered at 59.6 percent.  This means that 6 out of 10 in the population aged 15 years old and over were either employed or unemployed.  Likewise, this translates that of the 8.4 million estimated total population aged 15 years old and over in January 2020, 5.0 million persons are in the labor force. Central Luzon's Employment Situation, July 2019

In July 2019, the number of economically active persons aged 15 years old and over were estimated at 4.9 million persons. This translated to a labor force participation rate (LFPR) of 60.4 percent, which meant that six out of ten in the population aged 15 years old and over were either employed or unemployed.  This was lower than the national rate of 62.1 percent, though no increment was registered from July 2018 to July 2019 LFPR. read more about Central Luzon's Employment Situation, July 2019

Of the total 4.8 million economically active population aged 15 years old and over in Central Luzon, about 248 thousand were unemployed which translated to an unemployment rate of 5.2 percent. July 2018 Central Luzon's Employment Status

Of the total 7.9 million 15 years old and over economically active population in Central Luzon, over 31 thousand were unemployed which translated to an unemployment rate of 6.3 percent. (See figure 1). Among the regions, Ilocos Region (6.5%), Central Luzon (6.3%), CALABARZON (6.3%), Bicol Region (6.3%), National Capital Region (NCR) (6.1%), and Western Visayas (5.7%) were the regions with the highest unemployment rates above the national unemployment rate of 5.4 percent. read more about July 2018 Central Luzon's Employment Status
